Great job farmer! There is no limit to the number of feeding cards you can buy each turn as long as you have the crops required. The first time your animal is fed, you’ll flip over the head section to the happy side. Add the rabbit feeding card in between your rabbit head and tail card to feed your animal. If you have those crops in your barn, you will discard them and take the rabbit feeding card. For example, this rabbit feeding card requires one carrot and one clover.

You may not select one of the face-up crops from the market during this phase. To start, draw 1 new crop from the top of the crop deck and add it to your hand. Play will continue clockwise from there.Įach player’s turn is made up of three phases, Gain Crops, Grow Crops, and Perform Actions. In My Happy Farm, the player who most recently fed their pet will be first player. Place the rest of the coins in the center of the table to form the bank. Once you’ve removed any cards that won’t be used, shuffle the remaining cards and turn 5 cards face up to form the feeding row.įinally, deal each player 2 crop cards to form their starting hand and also 2 silver coins. You’ll see the player count for each card in the upper right-hand corner. Look through the feeding card deck and remove any cards depending on the number of players. Next, shuffle the crop cards and create a market by turning 6 cards face up in a line next to the deck in the center of the play area. Poor sad animals! Also, give each player a player aid card for reference. They will collect a head and tail section for each of the four different animals and place them together with the sad (-3) side of the head facing up. Designer: Oleg Sidorenko & Oleksandr Nevskiy. We would definitely recommend this game to families with kids aged 6+ who are itching to start getting into heavier strategy style games. It’s so much fun to play and the artwork is adorable. The theme helps adults or older kids remember the process and steps easily making the game quick to learn and simple to play. Finally, you must choose to either feed your animals or sell your crops for coins. Then the crops must grow from one season to the next before you can harvest them. In order to feed your animals, you must first buy/collect crops to plant. It’s delightful that the theme is used throughout to also learn at a high-level how farming works. Planning ahead is the name of this game and I love that it gets little minds thinking. There are never enough action points in each turn to complete everything you’re attempting. With the use of action points, each turn requires thought on how best to achieve your goals.

While the art and theme lend themselves to a kids’ game feel, the game is deceptively deep. My Happy Farm by Portal Games and IGAMES is a wonderful family weight game that helps build the foundations of more advanced gaming techniques for both kids and new gamers alike.
